Binowee Bayles

Binowee Bayles joins us in her Elders absence to conduct the Welcome to Country on behalf of the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council.

Binowee is the tenth generation in her direct family to live in Sydney and remains in her mother’s community of Redfern, Gadigal Land.

She has cultural and community connections to many First Nations across Australia, she has been part of cultural ceremonies, performed traditional song and dance, and continues to share her knowledge to bring Indigenous and non-indigenous peoples and world views together.
